Position: No official position yet, planning to be an awesome Jammer eventually.
Hometown: Clark Fork, ID
Why roller derby: I love physical sports. I loved roller skating as a kid, and it turns out I love it even more as an adult!
What’s the origin of your derby name? Crash rhymes with my real name, and Crashive Aggressive is just a fun play on words.
What inspires you? My teammates. They are all so awesome, both at roller derby and at being people. The first to inspire me was Rocket Hips, who continually encouraged me to come to practice, despite my disbelief in myself. I am so grateful to her for that!
Injuries? Nothing serious yet, just bruises and muscle strains.
What wheels do you use? Juke 93A Alloy.
What’s your non-derby life like? I have been married for almost 10 years, and we have 3 awesome kids, ages 7, 5, and 2. They keep me plenty busy. I am President of the PTO at their school. I enjoy all other sports, but am not good at any of them! I also work part-time at a Hardware Store. I love to sleep but don’t do it enough. We have a crazy Chihuahua, two cats, a turtle, and a toad.
Advice for someone interested in derby? Just GO. Try it ONCE and you will know if it was made for you or not. I knew the very first day, even though I was terrible, It was so much fun! The Fresh Meat training is awesome, you will learn so quickly, you will get in shape, and you will have FUN doing it! I thought I was too old, too out of shape, couldnt skate after 20 years, too unfamiliar with the sport…. nope, all untrue. You CAN do it!
